Panelled doors

Panelled front doors have been used for centuries and are often associated with traditional and historic architecture.

However today, this type of front door is used to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to different styles of properties - from modern to country chic, up to traditional or period properties. One advantage of a panelled front door is its versatility. Depending on the number and size of the panels, and the materials used, a panelled front door can be designed to suit a wide range of architectural styles. For example, a door with large glass panels may be used in a modern, minimalist building, while a door with smaller, more closely spaced panels may be used in a traditional or classic styled home.

With VELFAC you can choose how to configure your panelled external doors, as these are made to measure specifically for your home. For example, you can add different size panels and a number of your choice of glass inserts, and you can also decide what colour your front door should be, both on the inside and on the outside.

Last but not least, you can also choose to combine your door with sidelight to optimise the amount of light that enters your home, and have a beautiful and unique solution for the entrance of your home.

Features

• Inward or outward opening 1-leaf flush entrance door.
• Also available as double leaf or single leaf with fixed sidelight and/or fan light (refer to these for more information).
• Threshold options of 18mm, 22.5mm or 45mm.
• Flush entrance doors are available in a number of external designs and can incorporate a range of glass apertures.
• Door leaf inside: without profiling or with vertical grooves.

Standard fittings

• Espagnolette system with three closing points.
• Lock-box with oval cylinder.
• Cylinder placed above the handle.
• Three adjustable hinges.
• Kick-plate externally and internally.

Threshold

• 18mm threshold of HELO® composite material in a grey hardwearing surface finish
• 22.5mm in combination with 148mm frame.
• 45mm threshold of hardwood (lacquered oak).

Alternative fittings

• 180° hinges (allows for up to 50mm setback).
•  Optional kick plate (externally only).
